Garfield County Criminal Justice Services provides a variety of pre- and post-conviction services to the citizens of Garfield County and the 9th Judicial District, primarily to those that are involved with the criminal justice system. From our Pre-Trial Services program to the alternative sentencing programs we strive to provide the best service possible to those we serve. Criminal Justice Services employees 24 full-time employees with offices in both Glenwood Springs and Rifle, we are able to provide pre- and post-conviction services to a three county district that encompasses Pitkin, Garfield and Rio Blanco counties. Our skilled and caring staff are invested in providing an environment and the opportunity for positive change in the lives of the men and women in our care. Correctional programs
The Garfield County Department of Community Corrections has been providing non-residential service since 1982. In recent years, the program has expanded from a single purpose useful public service provider into providing a multitude of correctional programs. These have included, but are not limited to: monitoring domestic violence offender treatment compliance, overseeing personal recognizance bond issuance, performing pre-trial supervision, providing restitution services, supervising inmate work crews, and providing day reporting, electronic home monitoring, and ISP services for Division of Parole.
